Dubai Kite Beach Events – Kite Festival and Etisalat Beach Canteen

Kite beach has always been my go to beach every weekend. It’s not crowded and it’s very quiet making it a perfect place for relaxation any day.

The water is clear and the beach is well maintained, thanks to the Dubai government for taking care of this place. It’s definitely one of the best in Dubai.

During my visit that weekend, there were two events, the Etisalat Beach Canteen Dubai Food fest – a two week culinary event and the Kite Festival which is only held once in a year.

The food fest was amazing, there were so many dishes to choose from different food trucks lined up. From burgers, tacos, burritos, ice cream, noodles, name it, they have it. Etisalat beach canteenEtisalat Beach Canteenimg_1200img_1202img_1203Etisalat Beach CanteenEtisalat Beach Canteen

The event was amusing! With all types of activities like fitness classes, yoga, beach football and more, there is definitely something to do for everyone!

Mine was definitely Eating!

Pitfire Pizza

The Pepperoni Primo Pitfire Pizza was well seasoned. It has a flavorful crust and  generous amount of toppings. The packaging is also unique, it comes in a customized pizza slice box.

Pitfire Pizza described on their site as East Coast meets Neapolitan offers different options of Salad, Pasta and dessert. The main restaurant’s location is in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, and for delivery you may call 800-PITFIRE.

Poke Poke

It was my first time to try Poke Poke (poh-kay). Their dish is inspired by hawaiian appetizer which is basically fish salad. But Poke Poke leveled it up by adding a huge variety of quality ingredients!

I tried their signature New Yorker bowl which consist of wild rice as the base, Shrimp as the protein, topped it with sesame beetroot, seaweed salad, sprouts and pineapple. Lastly for the sauce, I had wasabi mayo. I wasn’t aware healthy food can be appetizing and delectable.

Laksa

Lastly, I also had Laksa,  a spicy noodle soup in coconut milk. It was served in generous amount and has an authentic flavorful taste. All exceeded my expectations. Definitely a pleasurable experience.

The kites were the cherry on top, eating delicious food with a view, what more can I ask for?

Kite festival is an annual event held in Dubai Kite beach. Every year kite enthusiasts gather to this event and show off their creativity. There were so many colorful and stunning kites up in the air. Some were over sized, it was surprising how they were able to maneuver it.

I didn’t know about this. A wonderful addition to ‘normal’ things to do in Dubai and a great use of the beach. Thank you for posting this.
